So true Alice! Collaboration between the photographer and clients is so important. Not every photographer will be a good fit for every client, but like you said, definitely best to find that out early on. I’m glad you enjoyed the article! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

I’ve always treated wedding photography as a team work, because no photographer is a mind reader and the clients should also put their expectations on the table. It’s crucial because sometimes the clients’ expectations and the photographer’s working style just don’t match, so it’s always better to learn about this beforehand so that you could work on something together or just part ways. Wedding photos, no matter how rarely looked at, will always be there in a form of social media posts, printed and framed images or just wedding anniversary Smartshow 3d videos, so you, as a photographer, should be open for communication.

If the photographer has a wedding menu that is very helpful. Usually the first thing a client asks is how much do you charge for weddings? And it depends on what the client is looking for and how much they are willing to spend for quality photos. As a photographer I have been asked several times to put together either a book or slide show from a wedding taken by “A Friend” and the photos are terrible. The couple would have been better off with a small budget and a good photographer than a friend with a new camera. Don’t get me wrong friends photos sometimes are great, sometimes. If you want a good album or video hire and pay but don’t over pay either. Your budget should be between $150 – $300 an hour and remember some photographers have an hourly minimum.
